Luckily, the game allows players to change their character's name and appearance later in the game as well. However, there are times when you may want to go back and do things all over again using a different character just to change the overall look.
The game actually takes up dozens of hours to build up your character in the game, which also requires completing a number of quests. I'm not sure which ones of these affect race nor if they can be removed without affecting the others in the list.
Replacing racials in an existing save is tricky, see "Applying this mod to an existing savegame" in the mod description." Imperious' compatibility page just says, "Imperious modifies RACE records and will conflict with other mods that affect races.
